 she move to Delhi High court producing a old gold family photographs and copy of her grandmothers with dated 21 2018 to prove that jewellery belongs to her 

on April 1st Delhi High court and post penalty of the 25000 on the customer department remarking the gold jewellery was not liable to be seed as the same or the personal effect of the petitioner 

They also order customs official to refrain from unnecessary detailing jewellery at airports including item bones during travel unless there is a clear evidence of violation

Man can bring a 20 gram of gold value up to 50000 duty free 

Women can bring in 40 gram of gold value up to 100000 duty free

Rule 3 of the baggage rule  2016 permit the used personal effect including articles worn during travels this rule become crucial for the short term traveller like seth. The rule state the articles worth up to 50000 inr if carried on the person or accompanied baggage are allowed clearance free for duty

The baggage rules 2016 does not count jewellery as a part of personal effects

'"however rule three mention item carry on the person or in baggage which indirectly includes or ornaments s or jewellers. This create confusion among passenger about how much jewellery they can carry "
